Black Car owners who keep their exterior looking brand new, how do you do it?
I have brand new black car. It's around 3 weeks ago.
I take all of the regular safety precautions when out: I always park far away from other cars; when I have to park between two cars, I always find two nice ones.
I wash my car at least once a week. I use all good products, either Mother's or Meguiar's.
I use the two bucket system: once with soap and water, one with just rinsing water. After every 5-10 second rubdown, I rinse and put more soap on the brush.
After done soaping, I use the hose to rinse (without the nozzle). I let the water fall off in sheets so that I don't have a lot to dry. With what is left to dry, I use smooth strokes with the california water blade. With whatever is left then, I use a microfiber towel straight out of the washer/dryer.
Yet, upon finishing my wash today, I found that toward the back of my car I saw some scratches with the light shining on it. Were they big? No. Were the microscopic? No.
What can I possibly be doing wrong here?
Scratches are caused by minute dust particles. On a black surface it shows. Only way to keep from seeing is to polish every time you wash.
